NASA Education Associates Program

The NASA Education Associates Program is a Cooperative Education Program, sponsored by NASA that links students and faculty with projects at NASA Centers. The NASA Education Associates Program offers:

National Space Grant Distinguished Service Award


The National Space Grant Distinguished Service Award was established to recognize individuals whose life and career have had a long lasting impact in a science, engineering or education field that is related to aeronautic, aviation, or space endeavors. The inaugural award was presented in 2003 to former Senator and Secretary of the Treasury Lloyd M. Bentsen for his visionary work in creating the National Space Grant College and Fellowship Act.

Want to meet all 52 Space Grant Directors in one place?

Become an Exhibitor at the fall meeting of the National Council of Space Grant Directors. $500 reserves a standard booth for the entire meeting, gives you admission to the opening reception with the Directors, permits use of reduced room rates, and allows you to demonstrate your program or product during specifically designed exhibitor breaks during the meeting. The next meeting will be in New York from 26 to 28 October, 2006.

Space TiViTz Game

If you know of a youth in 4th through 8th grade who struggles with mathematics, consider buying them a Space TiViTz game. NASA supported the development of this game that shows in early assessments to improve student math performance on standardized tests by at least 10 percent. As simple as checkers to play but with chess-like strategy. Board games are available in two-player ($31.95) or classroom sizes ($402 - A significan Discount!). Order by fax with the order form.

Balloons

Whenever you need to purchase a personalized mylar balloon, consider entering here to MyBalloons.com . Each order generates a gift to the Foundation. You can also enter the company web site directly and enter the COUPON CODE: NSGF to give the Foundation credit for your order. If you need 100 or more balloons, contact Stephen Sukanek at 866-989-1200 x203 and tell him it is a Space Grant order.

Video Logos

Consortia may sponsor various events such as public television programs where their logo is used. A professional animated logo can project a positive image. See the animated logo for the Iowa Space Grant Consortium at ANIMATED LOGO. To get one for your state contact Tom Sawyer from TS Media at 515-331-7419. A modified version of the Iowa logo is $2500 or get a whole new one from scratch for $6500. Be sure to tell Tom it is a Space Grant purchase.

Penny Engravers

Through a special arrangement with the CTM Group, Inc. organizations that place Penny Engravers in public locations with at least 150,000 visitors annually will generate a gift to the NSGF. These engravers are tasteful and professionally managed. They cost nothing to the host location and take no power. They are currently placed in the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum and many other parks, museums, and attractions in America. An easy way to help the NSGF. Contact the Foundation President for assistance in making a placement.
