The National Space Grant Distinguished Service Award was established to recognize individuals
whose life and career have had a long lasting impact in a science, engineering or education
field that is related to aeronautic, aviation, or space endeavors. The inaugural award
was presented in 2003 to former Senator and Secretary of the Treasury Lloyd M. Bentsen for his
visionary work in creating the National Space Grant College and Fellowship Act.
Just by buying Fisher Space Pens through their
special Space Grant number at 800-705-5463, you will provide a benefit to
the National Space Grant Endowment! Truly a gift that keeps on giving.
Alumni of the NASA Space Grant programs should consider supporting the
Foundation through a gift to help the national program or the state that helped them.
A brochure is available to guide you.
Help us ensure that the program that helped you is around for generations to come.
Become an Exhibitor at the fall meeting of the National Council of Space Grant Directors.
$500 reserves a standard booth for the entire meeting, gives you admission to the opening
reception with the Directors, permits use of reduced room rates, and allows you to
demonstrate your program or product during specifically designed exhibitor breaks during
the meeting. The next meeting will be in New York from 26 to 28 October, 2006.
For more information please visit the Exhibitor Information Page
on the meeting website or contact Erica Miles at 607-255-2710 to reserve a space.
If you know of a youth in 4th through 8th grade who struggles with mathematics,
consider buying them a Space TiViTz game. NASA supported the development of
this game that shows in early assessments to improve student math
performance on standardized tests by at least 10 percent. As simple as checkers to
play but with chess-like strategy. Board games are available in two-player ($31.95) or
classroom sizes ($402 - A significan Discount!). Order by fax with the
order form.
Whenever you need to purchase a personalized mylar balloon, consider entering here to
MyBalloons.com . Each order generates a gift
to the Foundation. You can also enter the company web site directly and enter the COUPON CODE: NSGF to
give the Foundation credit for your order. If you need 100 or more balloons, contact
Stephen Sukanek at
866-989-1200 x203 and tell him it is a Space Grant order.

Through a special arrangement with the CTM Group, Inc. organizations that place
Penny Engravers in public locations with at least 150,000 visitors annually will generate a
gift to the NSGF. These engravers are tasteful and professionally managed. They cost nothing
to the host location and take no power. They are currently placed in the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum
and many other parks, museums, and attractions in America. An easy way to help the NSGF. Contact
the Foundation President for assistance in making a placement.
